On this day, September 6, 1876, artist, illustrator, and cartoonist Boardman Robinson was born in Somerset, Nova Scotia. Robinson studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and later in Paris. After Paris Robinson lived in New York City and worked for the New York Morning Telegraph and various magazines. Eventually he took a staff job at the New York Tribune until WWI.
