On this day, July 23, 2006, cartoonist Vernon Ethelbert Grant died in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Grant studied for one year at the Vesper George School of Art in Boston and then join the U. S. Army. In Tokyo Grant was a regular cartoonist for Stars and Stripes and he developed a fascination with Japanese comics. In Japan Grant produced several graphic novels and upon his discharge he returned to Cambridge and created a science-fiction comic series The Love Rangers.

Thursdays: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. (July/August 2015)
Rockwell’s Studio open May through October.

November – April: open daily:

Weekdays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Weekends and holidays: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Holiday Closings:

The Museum is Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
