On this day, September 24, 1991, illustrator and cartoonist Theodore Seuss Geisel died in La Jolla, California. His early political cartoon were published in PM Magazine. His first children’s book, And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street, was rejected multiple times before it was finally published and his career as a creator of children’s books began.
