On this day, May 17, 1972, artist and illustrator Roman Genn was born in Moscow, Russia. Genn moved to the U.S. after being repeatedly arrested for publically exhibiting anti-governement caricatures. He is a contributing editor for the National Review and still creates illustrations for the magazine.
