On this day, June 5, 1905, comic book artist Wayne Boring was born in Minnesota. He studied at the Minneapolis School of Art and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. By the late 1930s he was ghosting/drawing on various comic books. He ghosted for the Superman comic strip and eventually became the credited artist. In the 40s he also signed his work as Jack Harmon. He was the primary penciller for Superman in the 1950s.
