On this day, January 23, 1992, the artist illustrator Joseph Mugnaini died in Los Angeles, California. Born in Italy, Mugnaini’s family emigrated to the United States when he was an infant. He studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and after the war he taught at Otis. Some of his best known illustration work was done in collaboration with Ray Bradbury.
