On this day, February 12, 1919, illustrator Rachael Robinson Elmer died in New York City. Born in Vermont, Elmer studied at the Art Students League in New York. Elmer’s work included illustrations for magazines and story books and perhaps best well-known, she produced two series of fine art post card views of New York for P. F. Volland Company of Chicago.
