On this day, December 31, 1956, cartoonist Steve Rude was born in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1981, Rude and writer Mike Baron created the Nexus comic series, an independent science fiction comic book. In 2004 Rude co-created and penciled The Moth with writer/inker Gary Martin.
