On this day, August 11, 1906, Harry Anderson was born in Chicago, Illinois. He studied art at Syracuse University’s School of Art where he became friends with Tom Lovell. After at time in New York he went to work for Haddon Sundblom’s studio in Chicago. Anderson’s story illustrations were found in many magazines in the mid-20th century.
