Ready for spring? Published on the March 22 1947 cover of The Saturday Evening Post, Norman Rockwell’s First Signs of Spring was painted months in advance- when crocuses were not available for reference. This didn’t stop Rockwell, who had the plants custom ordered from a specialty florist and delivered to his Vermont studio.

Find the original oil painting in our galleries, & custom order prints to be delivered to your own home from our museum store!
